The days are filled with desert showers that drench the soil and turn the arid dry land green and lush. For this I am thankful, even if it means mud. At the end of the day, I am inclined to sit in the courtyard and watch the sky manifest colors unmatched by any Dunn Edwards collection. By the time dinner is topical, I have substituted preparing food, to just snacking with a glass of wine. The fall underscores the need to sit down, to sort of bob your head to music, and do very little. "
FORMER GALLERY LOULOU. THIS 400 year old authentic adobe house+studio+ gallery is located in the center of the Ranchos de Taos Plaza, next to the landmark St Francis de Assis Church. It is zoned for commercial/retail/ residence. You can create, live and exhibit your art. It is 1900 square feet, on two levels. The downstairs has a kiva, original viegas, and two large salon rooms, a back room, with sink and toilit. Upstairs is the living area, with a open kitchen, bedroom with kiva, and bathroom. Large windows open onto the south and westerly views. The courtyard is 500 square feet with flagstone and a small flower bed. The entire compound is enclosed, and private. The backyard is large enough to have garden parties, under the apple tree.
