Great house for rent!!! Available August 1st. Check out the website, with descriptions and pictures at . Beautiful hardwood floors throughout most of the home (the den has brand new ... View more details carpet (one month old!) and the kitchen and bathrooms are tile). I listed it as a 2-bedroom, but there is a 3rd (smaller) room that could be an office or a nursery or where you could stuff that one housemate who would otherwise be crashing on the couch all the time. The bedrooms have plenty of windows and lots of light, and all the fixtures and appliances are in great condition and most are only a few years old. In addition to the 2.5 bedrooms, there is a living room and a dining room with built-in shelving, and also a den with pass-through access to the kitchen. The yard is fenced in with an extra fenced-off section for a compost heap or garden or maybe your children when they are being particularly bad (I don't know - not being a parent, I'm not up on the latest child-rearing theories). The house features a covered driveway and a roomy shed (I had, like, three lawnmowers (don’t ask) 16 boxes of xmas decorations, and a bunch of bikes and there was still plenty of room to walk around and think dark thoughts about the various ways the shed would be used in an episode of Law & Order or CSI: Savannah). One of the things I *love* about this house is how close it is to everything - just 5 minutes to downtown, 13 minutes to the beach, and about 90 seconds from the Truman Pkwy, Target, Home Depot, Piggly Wiggly and Kroger, a movie theater, a bowling alley and no fewer than 30 or 40 restaurants, including but not limited to Larry's, Tubby's, Coach's, IHOP, Firehouse, Krispy Kreme (!!), and pretty much every fast food franchise known to man. There is a cute little park one block down the street and the neighbors are very friendly (although the gal next door is a Saints fan, so you need to be OK living next door to someone who roots against the Falcons in the NFC South). I bought the house a few years ago and *love* it, but I am getting married and his house is a block from where I work, so I am gaining a husband and losing a commute (FTW!).
